Granite

Granite is believed to have been formed as long ago as 300 million years. Granite is drilled and blasted from the quarry in large blocks, cut into slabs by a gang saw, and polished to uniform thickness by automatic polishing machines.

Granite has become the material of choice for today's luxury homes and offices because of its enduring beauty, and because no synthetic material can yet compare to its elegance and performance.

This stone will not depreciate with time and will continuously add value to any property.  Granite creates an immediate impression of elegance, and is considered a definite plus on any real estate broker's checklist.  It presents an image of classic grace and beauty.

Quartz

Quartz is the most common mineral on the earth's surface. It is present in nearly every geological environment and is a component of almost every rock type and exists in an impressive range of varieties and colours.

Quartz is more durable than granite and is stain-resistant, heat-resistant and easy to maintain which makes it perfect for kitchen counter tops. Only the diamond, topaz and sapphire are harder than quartz.

Because quartz grows in clusters and does not form huge stone blocks like granite it is not suitable in its natural state to make into countertops or other large slabs therefore a manufacturing process uses raw quartz crystals (93%) combined with resin (7%) and colouring agents to convert quartz to a working slab which forms an impenetrable surface.  The finished product is free of fissures and cracks and impervious to water, moisture, or bacteria.

Marble

Marble is a cultured stone created from either limestone or dolomite. As these sedimentary rocks undergo heat and pressure, they re-crystallize, forming marble. Marble often has no clearly discernible grain, and it is typically streaked with veins and clouds of impurity which vary widely in color. When cut into slabs, these impurities can create striking and fanciful designs.

Marble is a waterproof and stain resistant surface but is a softer stone than granite and is more prone to scratching. However its beauty and elegance far outweighs its durability.
